Emma & Dan’s Creative East London Wedding

Dan is an old friend of ours from our university days, so of course we were ecstatic when him and Emma asked us to photograph what turned out to be a very creative East London wedding. Dan is a designer and Emma a yoga teacher, but shares his love of creativity.  It’s apparent in everything about them as a couple. From the decor of their home right through to their DIY wedding day, which was so relaxed and full of laughter.  It was perfect for them in every way.

A wedding full of creativity

When we say a wedding full of creativity we mean it.  For starters there were the lovely illustrated invitations with an image of the two of them in Japan created by Dan.  The homemade confetti, and we’d be amiss not to mention the lovely custom sew on “yay” patches created for guests to remember the day.  Even friends and family got in on the act with custom handmade bridal jewellery for Emma from her friend Lize and the wedding cake made by Dan’s mum.

Emma got ready with her sister at her and Dan’s gorgeous flat in Brockley, whilst Dan opted for an air BnB in East Dulwich.  This was followed by a few pints in a local pub with mates to calm his nerves.

The Ceremony : The Garden Room, Southwark Registry Office

Emma got to the ceremony venue Southwark Registry Office before Dan so got a sneak peak of him arriving.  Emma looking stunning was given away by her equally beautiful sister to a very dapper looking Dan who had the biggest grin on his face.  It was beautiful and a real honour to capture.

The Reception : The East Dulwich Tavern

Possibly one of the most relaxed wedding receptions we’ve been to at the an equally relaxed venue The East Dulwich Tavern.  It was the perfect wedding reception venue for Emma and Dan.  There was laughter, tears and lots of fun, not to mention some lovely portraits in front of awesome street art.  Some might call us bias, but one of our favourite weddings to date!  Emma and Dan thank you for inviting us to capture your truly creative wedding day.
