DODDINGTON HALL WEDDING CEREMONY OPTIONS

FROM SMALL AND INTIMATE TO GRAND AND EXTRAVAGANT

Doddington Hall offers their wedding couples exclusive use of The Coach House for their wedding ceremony and reception.  Other locations listed below are also available for your ceremony dependant on the number of guests you may have and time of year.

The Long Gallery

For wedding couples wanting a large number of ceremony guests then The Long Gallery is the obvious choice.  Occupying the top floor of Doddington Hall this location can seat up to 180 ceremony guests.  It’s a wonderfully light and airy space thanks to it’s enormous west-facing windows.  These offer picturesque views of the gardens below.  With it’s wonderful gallery of historic paintings on the east wall it really is a breath-taking location in which to have your wedding ceremony.  This really is one of our favourite ceremony rooms to shoot at.

Small & Intimate Outdoor Ceremonies

For those wanting a small intimate outdoor ceremony with no more than 20 guests then either The Garden Pavilion or The East Porch is perfect. The Garden Pavilion is nestled within a romantic wild garden with views overlooking the parkland beyond.  The East Porch is situated within the East Front Walled Garden.  This location once again provides a romantic setting and stunning backdrop for an outdoor ceremony. Both of these options are weather permitting.

The Garden Room in The Coach House

The Garden Room is situated in the Coach House. When booking Doddington Hall for your wedding you’ll get exclusive use of it for your ceremony and reception (see below).  The Garden Room is the perfect setting for a romantic ceremony for up to 70 guests, but works equally well with smaller more intimate numbers.

St Peter's Church

For those looking for a religious ceremony there is the beautiful St Peters Church.  This lies within the grounds of the Doddington Hall Estate.  There maybe some restrictions on availability so we’d advise that you make contact early on in your wedding planning.

The Coach House at Doddington Hall for Wedding Receptions

EXCLUSIVE USE RECEPTION SPACE

Situated within it’s own secluded garden The Coach House at Doddington Hall is a recently refurbished, light and airy Elizabethan building.  Unlike the rest of the estate which is open to the pubic, The Coach House is provided on an exclusive use basis to couples for their wedding day. Consisting of two inter connecting rooms The Garden Room and The Green Wing this is the main wedding reception location at Doddington Hall.  It’s neutral palette is perfect for those wanting to add their personal touch.

The Green Wing in The Coach House

The Green Wing with it’s enormous sliding glass doors opening onto a private and pretty walled garden and high ceilings is a wonderful airy reception space.  It is frequently used for either sit down dinners or a lovely area for your guests to chill during the evenings party.  The maximum capacity of the Green Wing is 120 for seated dining or 180 for an evening reception.

The Garden Room in The Coach House

The Garden Room in The Coach House at Doddington Hall is very flexible wedding venue space.  Firstly it is frequently used for Civil Ceremonies as previously mentioned. Secondly it can also be used for hosting an indoor drinks reception if the weather is poor when using The Green Wing for a sit down Wedding Breakfast.  Lastly The Garden Room is where couples are allowed to set up any music or entertainment for the evening festivities.

Services & Facilities

The Coach House has excellent disabled access and there are baby changing facilities along with a ground floor toilet.  The only negative for some couples is that Doddington Hall will require that you use their catering, alcohol and disco services.  After that though you can source any suppliers yourself including wedding photographers for example.

The Gardens at The Coach House

The Coach House at Doddington Hall is situated in it’s own private gardens. Perfectly kept, these stunning formal gardens provide a wonderful outside space for your guests to enjoy.  It’s shelted location means it is frequently used for hosting drinks receptions or as a chill out area for wedding guests.

Yes, with a total of 4 self catering cottages you can accommodate up to 44 people on-site.  Whilst this might not be enough for all your guests there is plenty of additional accommodation within the local area.  This includes The Old Rectory and the Stables which are situated in the estate grounds for example.

Is Doddington Hall an Exclusive Use Wedding Venue?

Yes and No.  Doddington Hall only ever have one wedding over the course of a weekend and they offer their wedding couples complete exclusivity of the Coach House for the day of their wedding.  However, you should be aware that other areas of the venue are open to the public.   One advantage to this arrangement, however, is that the venue allows you access from midday the day before your wedding.  This is unusual for a wedding venue, but as a result allows you plenty of time to decorate the venue and reduces the stress on the day of your wedding.
