Emma and Bill | Hazel Gap Barn

Getting ready at home with her family you could feel the nervous anticipation from Emma for what was to come.  The excitement she felt for her wedding celebration was almost palatable.  Dressed in a stunning Needle and Thread Wedding Dress, she looked radiant. Bill, the groom, on the other hand was cool and collected, perhaps hiding a few minor nerves.  Emma and Bill chose to say “I do” in the sublime venue that is Hazel Gap Barn in Nottingham. A personal favourite of ours, we love this wedding venue, and were delighted when Emma and Bill told us they had chosen it.

The Ceremony

Family and friends gathered at Hazel Gap Barn on the hot and sunny September day. Looking on lovingly as as Emma walked down the aisle accompanied by her children and their beloved Paterdale Terrier dogs you couldn’t help but be caught up in the moment. The sound of the harpist accompanying each step towards her husband to be it was perfect.  Both Emma and Bill grinned sheepishly as they saw each other for the first time. Surrounded by the stunning cream and pastel pink flowers created by Mrs Umbels they said their vows as their loved ones watched. They were celebrating more than just a wedding.  They were celebrating the joining of their two families.  A theme that flowed through their entire wedding.

The Reception

Following the ceremony and beneath bright blue summer skies they joined their guests for a drinks reception in the courtyard, before a few portraits.  The evening meal was filled with funny and emotional speeches and more than a few tears.  Finishing in a blaze of glory with guests waving them off  they opted for a sparkler exit. The next chapter of their lives had now begun and Bill and Emma were ready.
